Community Transport

Clyst St Mary and Sowton are not currently served by any kind of community transport service.  It may be possible, in the future, to be included in one of the schemes operating in East Devon for those who would otherwise find it very difficult to shop or make social trips due to disability and age related problems.

If you, or anyone you know, would benefit from the opportunity to use a scheduled minibus every week (door to door) please let us know so that we can assess demand.  Please contact Cllr Fairburn on e-clare@hotmail.co.uk or bishopsclyst@gmail.co.uk (07861 801335).

Volunteer drivers needed

Both of the charities who provide transport for patients of Pinhoe Surgery and Topsham Surgery need more drivers to help them maintain a responsive and effective service.  If you are a driver with some free time on your hands, Clyst Caring Friends (Pinhoe) and Estuary League of Friends (Topsham) wouold love to hear from you.  A realistic mileage allowance is offered by both organisations.  Both can be contacted - Clyst Caring Friends 01392 464940; Estuary League of Friends 01392 879009.
